What’s included for $100 dollars?

For $100 dollars you will receive a pdf and the CADD file for the full set of construction documents. Please view the samples page to see a pdf of a typical set of plans. You will receive an instruction guide which explains how to print your drawings to the correct scale. You will also receive a Limited Copyright Release Certificate which will allow you to build the plan as often as you like and make as many copies of the plan as often as you need. A Copyright Release Certificate is usually required by most major print shops before they will allow you to make copies of your plan.

How do I print copies of my plan that are “to scale”?

You will receive an instruction guide that will explain how to print your drawings to the correct scale. Most plans will need to be printed either on 18 x 24 or 24 x 36 inch paper to achieve the correct scale.

What format is the CADD file?

All CADD drawings are drawn using DataCadd software. The file for the CADD drawing will be in a .dwg format.

I’ve purchased my plan…now what?

You will immediately receive an e-mail which will contain a link to our server. Simply click on this link to download the plan. After that, choose a file format that works best for you to print or modify the plan as needed. For example, if you do not have a CADD program then you would use the pdf file to print your plan. You can print your plan from your desktop but most people e-mail the pdf to their local print shop for drawings that are to the proper scale. If you do use CADD, simply import the .dwg file into your program and then you can modify and plot the drawing as needed.

What if I have a problem with the download?

You will be allowed a 72 hour window of opportunity to download your plan purchase. If you are unable to complete the download or if you experience technical difficulties and your 72 hour window expires, please e-mail us at techsupport@100DollarHousePlans.com for assistance.

Can my plan be modified?

Yes. We do not offer plan modification services, however, we encourage you to seek out a local residential designer or other design professional that can assist you with your modifications. Most designers will be able to import the CADD file into their system which will allow them to modify the plan to your specifications. Your Limited Copyright Release Certificate gives you the permission required to have your plan modified.

How many copies can I make?

As many as you need! Your Limited Copyright Release Certificate allows you to make an unlimited number of copies.

How many times can I build this plan?

As many as you want! Your Limited Copyright Release Certificate allows you to build your plan as often as you wish.

Can I get a refund for my purchase?

No. Because our drawings are transferred electronically, once you have taken possession of the file, there will be no refunds allowed.

I cannot open the files once I download them.

The zip file you will download contains .pdf, .dwg and .shx files. For help with zip files please follow this link.

The .pdf files allow you to print your plans from your desktop or you can e mail them to your local print shop to be printed out to scale as per your instruction guide. You can download Acrobat Reader for free to open .pdf files.

The .dxf and .shx files can only be read by a CADD software program. These are the files you would send to your design professional which will allow your drawings to be modified and customized to your exact specifications. You will not be able to open the .dwx or .shx files without CADD software.
